Dr. Herizo Andrianandrasana
Herizo is a Research Fellow at the Institute for Global Sustainable Development, University of Warwick. He received his DPhil (PhD) from the University of Oxford, Department of Zoology (now Dept of Biology), looking at the effectiveness of community-based conservation in Madagascar.
Herizo is a conservation biologist, with extensive field experience and interests in ecological monitoring, remote sensing, and Geographical Information System.
He has devoted his time in designing methods of participatory ecological monitoring and identifying the best ways to achieve conservation success in developing countries. He is particularly involved in studying the role that can be played by local communities and stakeholders in conservation and monitoring towards sustainable management of natural resources.
